Yesterday I left Queretaro and headed to Puebla. Puebla is also proud of its mole. I had a delicious dinner of mole poblano and a very good Mexican cabernet at a nice restaurant downtown. I do like good mole. Also bought some nice talavera pottery for gifts from a very nice gentleman. The cathedral in the Centro Historica is spectacular and contains some of the most important art work in Mexico. It was built in the 16th and 17th century. Many fine buildings around the city center. Many of the buildings have the tiles for which Puebla is famous. The other nice thing about visiting Mexico cities at this time is that many of the decorations from the celebrations of 16th de Septiembre are still up (the date of Mexican Indepence from Spain).
